Our Mission Statement
Unleashing the Potential of All
The Faith Regen Foundation is committed to unleashing the potential of all, to establishing cohesive communities through multi-faith action.
Our Vision
The Faith Regen Foundation is committed to working towards increasing social harmony in our society; we hope to achieve this by empowering and regenerating individuals and communities, through the vehicle of increased capacity, economic independence and a stronger voice.
FRF today
The Faith Regen Foundation is a unique national charity which works in the Employment sector to secure sustainable jobs for the most disadvantaged individuals such as BAME, women and those with disabilities. We work with the full knowledge that these individuals have many barriers and issues which have to be overcome before they even reach the stage of entering the labour market. However, we care and believe in the clients that walk through our doors; and that everyone’s journey is different and special. We simply wish to provide a safe and secure place where an individual is inspired to unleash their potential.
We are a Muslim inspired multi faith organisation with a strong track record of achieving targets and outcomes to ensure positive change. We have successfully engaged with approximately 12000 individuals since our inception in late 2001.
Our USP is our ability to engage with communities and individuals where public services need extra support and this is due to the trust and respect which we have built over the years. We understand the diverse communities that live in the UK and are able to provide both faith and culturally sensitive provision; and our staff reflect our target groups. We provide programmes of employability training, work placements, confidence building and intensive mentoring,. We also provide accredited training in Skills for Life, basic skills, ESOL, food hygiene, child care, health and safety, ICT.
FRF also promotes greater understanding between faiths and identifies solutions for encouraging positive relationships within our society based on a collaborative approach.
FRF are unique in their approaching to helping disadvantaged communities, and this uniqueness has existed since its inception. It is not simply helping those who are disadvantaged, but those who are continuously the hardest to reach.
Through our experience, we have been able to engage effectively with both the hard to reach and faith communities. We work at three levels in order to maintain greater cohesion in our work.
Each level of our work is connected and through this approach we are providing relevant programmes and training, we are researching on all levels to make an impact on both government policies and agendas; and the wider community.
History of FRF
FRF was set up in 2001 with the aim of regenerating faith communities through connecting government initiatives with the energy of faith communities to empower disadvantaged communities. We also focussed on building bridges between faith communities through dialogue and training to create an ethical and just environment where all communities can feel comfortable and secure.
Initially, known as Faith Regen UK we piloted projects related to housing, education, employment and cultural awareness. We built partnerships across the whole spectrum of players in the field of regeneration, and we became experts in tapping into the expertise, knowledge and social capital held within faith communities.
We recognised very early on that faith and spirituality has a role to play in the lives of Britain’s socially excluded and marginalised communities. We have learnt to develop and fine-tune our research, projects and approach through years of experience and focus on working with disadvantaged communities.
